50. Set piece (9)
Tao Sihu strongly waved his hand, acting like he knew me.
He looked extremely energetic and healthy.
Even while I thought that’s good, I was annoyed for no reason.
‘Because of that bastard, Jang Namuk had a hard time.’
Tao Sihu wasn’t the original cause, but looking at his stupid smile, I wanted to pretend to just not know him.
If not for my Playable Character and the kid from the same class, I would pretend I didn’t see him.
As I roughly waved my hand, while conversing, Tao Sihu smiled brightly, and walked in another direction this time.
The place Tao Sihu headed towards was the cheering squad.
‘Uh, this is…’
Tao Sihu poked the Military School’s cadet, who showed obvious signs of nervousness, with an untrustworthy face.
The person, who almost dropped his glasses in the prank, turned his head and started to nag Tao Sihu.
The target of Tao Sihu’s prank was Jang Namuk.
‘Jang Namuk said he wouldn’t lose this cheering match.’
Because of the schedule problems, there were many matches overlapping during the Sport Exchange period.
As matches overlapped, Eungwang School and Military School’s cheering squads divided their members to allocate them.
I guess the Military School sent him here to cheer in the match, where his friend, for whom he would cheer in the past, appeared in the line-up.
When Jang Namuk’s nagging grew longer, someone appeared between the two and spoke up to them.
The person wearing Eungwang School’s cheering squad uniform was a person I knew very well, and as expected from my Playable Character, she was showing off the pure white cheering squad uniform very well.
‘It’s Yu Sang-hui. She deliberately came to cheer because Yu Sang-hun would be coming out on the field, huh?’
The instant Yu Sang-hui’s appeared, the Military School became excited.
I guess the fame of Eungwang School’s best healer Healing Frenzy Yu Sang-hui spread wide even in the Military School.
Yu Sang-hui, who finished greetings with Jang Namuk and Tao Sihu, also spoke up to Yu Sang-hun, who was drinking an ion drink after warming up.
As if he was embarrassed about his biological noona coming to cheer, Yu Sang-hun made a subtle face.
‘Uh, there is a corrupt shadow showing behind Yu Sang-hui…’
The identity of the corrupt shadow was regretfully my Playable Character.
After seeing Tao Wonu, standing behind Yu Sang-hui since some point, his face openly twisted.
It wasn’t strange that he came because though Tao Wonu’s second cousin dongsaeng Tao Sihu wasn’t a starting member, his name was among the bench members, and he was Eungwang School’s Student Council president and member of the cheering squad to begin with.
Even so, I was worried about Yu Sang-hun’s morale.
“I guess it will start soon. I’m excited about watching the game from the field for the first time.” [1]
The electric signboard clock drew closer to the time of opening a match.
Each team’s starting member arranged themselves around the starting line, and the opposing teams representatives and the main referee shook hands.
Seeing the main referee receive a ball from the assistant referee and hold it up high in the air, cheers burst out from the audience.
Soon, as the main referee entered the central circle and throw the ball high into the air, each of the team’s centers jumped.
With the jump ball, the right to preemptively attack went to the Military School’s Highschool Department.
“Ah, a pity!”
“I didn’t know how will it go, because the two centers’ height is similar, but the jumping ability of the Military School’s captain is more amazing, eh?”
Kwon Lena and Mok Uram at my side were regretful.
But that regretful time was very short.
After the tip off, the two teams didn’t rest and swiftly attacked, and the audience busied themselves with cheering, while clenching their sweating hands.
Midst the cheers and sighs because of the changing without rest score, the performance of Yu Sang-hun was most eye-catching.
“The vice president’s friend scored again!”
“Right now, he scored 33 points out of 43 Eungwang School got alone!”
After the 1st quarter passed, and they entered the 2nd quarter, the voices ceaselessly shouted Yu Sang-hun’s name.
The ball went to Yu Sang-hun, he entered the shooting position, and the ball went in just after that.
After the score gap widened, the Military School’s Highschool Department tried to hold Yu Sang-hun in check.
As if thinking of using the built difference to target Yu Sang-hun, the one marking Yu Sang-hun was Military School’s center.
Yu Sang-hun’s momentum hesitated, but it seemed that he trained with the assumption of 1 on 1 marking case.
Instead of giving up on borrowing through the opponent’s camp, Yu Sang-hun shot from outside of the 3 points line and maintained his fearful scoring power just like before.
A few seconds before the 2nd quarter ended, the ball went to Yu Sang-hun again.
“… Wait, it seems a bit dangerous now.”
As Mok Uram said, I had an ominous premonition.
The center of the Military Academy’s Highschool department was a 2nd year cadet, but he seemed to have a somehow impatient character.
The center stretched out his long arm towards the ball, because he was hooked by Yu Sang-hun’s feint motion.
Yu Sang-hun avoided that hand, twisted his body and shot towards the distant goalpost.
People held their breaths at that picturesque turnaround fadeaway shot.
Peuk!
The ball already left Yu Sang-hun’s hands, but the center’s elbow hit Yu Sang-hun’s head.
There is no way that a strike’s sound could be heard from the noisy game ground, but I only heard that sound loudly.
Whistle!
Just after the score changed because of the shot thrown by Yu Sang-hun, the buzzer announcing the completion of the 2nd quarter, and the sound of the main referee whistle informing about a foul, rang out at the same time.
Yu Sang-hun, who collapsed, couldn’t stand up straight away, and I noticed a blood stain between the referee and athlete, who rushed to him, so he seemed to be seriously injured.
‘Yu Sang-hun…!’
I wasn’t the only one worried about Yu Sang-hun.
Yu Sang-hui tried to leave the cheering squad position and run to Yu Sang-hun with a white like a sheet face, but Tao Wonu stopped her.
As if Tao Wonu decided to negotiate so Yu Sang-hui could interfere into the healing process, he ran to the main referee.
‘There is no need for me to come out here.’
Luckily, there were many of my outstanding Playable Characters here.

There was no precedence for Yu Sang-hui, who appeared as part of the cheering squad, not the medical team, to give treatment to the athlete.
But Tao Wonu finished the negotiations fast, worthy of the Eungwang School’s Student Council’s president.
“If any problems appear, I’ll take the responsibility… Yes, thank You.”
Tao Wonu appealed that Yu Sang-hui was Yu Sang-hun’s older sister, and a famous healer, who received an alias from the Association, and stressed that he would take all responsibility if a problem occurs.
After thinking about it, the assistant referee decided it was okay for Yu Sang-hui to provide treatment if there was a permission from the supervisor.
Tao Wonu passed to Yu Sang-hui, who looked towards him with an anxious face, the results of the negotiation.
It was difficult to think that the light frivolous tone used towards Yu Sang-hui was used by the Student Council’s president, who lead polite negotiations a moment ago.
“Sanghui-ah! I got a permission, let’s go to the brother-in-law!”
“Brother-in-law? I don’t know who are you talking about? Then I’ll go to Sang-hun. Thanks.”
Yu Sang-hui spoke coldly, but Tao Wonu was just happy by the fact that he was of help to Yu Sang-hui and Yu Sang-hun.
While in a happy mood he followed after Yu Sang-hui, he met eyes with Tao Sihu, who was looking his way.
‘… Thinking about it, Sihu said something strange before coming.’
Before the match, Tao Sihu asked to give him some time after the basketball match ends.
— I have something to talk about related to Sanghui noona.
— If possible, I want to talk about it in a place where we won’t draw attention.
There was no way that Tao Sihu, who moved between the Military School and home, had a point of contact with Yu Sang-hui.
Even though Tao Wonu thought it was strange, he recalled the gym facilities map in his head.
Tao Sihu might be playing an immature prank, but he couldn’t give it up if it was a story related to Yu Sang-hui.

Luckily, Yu Sang-hun’s treatment finished during the break after the 2nd quarter finished.
Yu Sang-hui, who came as a member of the cheering squad, offered to use her healing skill and Yu Sang-hun was unscathed.
Yu Sang-hun stood up again, without any injures, but the anger of the audience, who saw a shocking sight of the ace shooter being hit and blood pouring out, was enormous.
Even though the Military School’s couch and the center personally went to the Eungwang School to bow their heads, the anger didn’t subside.
In particular, the boos poured towards the Military School’s center, who hit Yu Sang-hun with an elbow, and if the cheering squad didn’t calm the audience down, Players throwing bottles and bomb items might have appeared.
“Two athletes were replaced from the Military School, eh?” [2]
“The athlete, who fouled a moment ago, stepped out!”
The children, who opened the updated player list, had a conversation before the match.
The Military Academy Highschool Department’s center and small forward were replaced.
Among the athletes, who entered through the replacement, was a person I knew.
Newly added on the list was ‘SF Tao Sihu (1st year)’.
Tao Sihu jumped into the court starting from the 3rd quarter.
‘They probably thought of getting Tao Sihu to mark Yu Sang-hun.’
Tao Sihu’s built wasn’t small, but he had a much less threatening built compared to the center, who marked Yu Sang-hun before, and was also close with Yu Sang-hun.
It seemed they decided throw in Tao Sihu to change the atmosphere.
The center was probably taken out to protect him from booing even when just breathing.
“Uh? Why aren’t they starting straight away?”
“Is there a problem?” [3]
I briefly explained for the two.
“Because the main referee called a flagrant foul, Yu Sang-hun got a free throw. After the 3rd quarter match’s free throw, Eungwang School gets the attack right and the match will start.”
Yu Sang-hun threw such a perfect shot, it was difficult to think he was a person who was injured and recovered just moment ago.
When Yu Sang-hun, who easily succeeded in the free throw, lightly raised his fist, the audience cheered without holding back.
In the match that unfolded with this, the Military Academy’s highschool department showed much better movements.
The score gap that was so big was narrowing little by little.
“The Person, who joined now, it’s the Military School’s cadet, who greeted vice president before the match, correct? He blocked very well.”
“Ah, he blocked again!”
Yu Sang-hun, what are you doing not trying to blow out Tao Sihu?!
Tao Sihu was blocking so freakishly well I wanted to shout like this.
As even when holding a basketball match between 1st years in the last time, Tao Sihu blocked even Ju Su-hyeok, so this time was like this too.
Even so, if there was just a gap, Yu Sang-hun would shoot again and other Eungwang School’s athletes were stably scoring points.
Piing!
Soon the buzzer announced the match end.
The match resulted in a 10 points gap, Eungwang School’s victory and MVP being Yu Sang-hun.
“We won! Because the point gap narrowed even more in the last minute, I had no idea how it would end!”
“Deeply impressive match. Especially the vice president’s friend’s performance was eye-catching. If possible, I want to see the next match too.”
Even after sending an applause to the basketball team, who went to thank the cheering squad, and leaving our seats, our class children talked about the basketball match.
After we got closer to Eugnwang School, the children’s topic changed to the dinner menu.
As all three members who went to see basketball today were dormitory student, they seemed to naturally think that we would go to eat together.
Regretfully, it was difficult for me to be with them there.
“Sorry, it seems I won’t be able to eat dinner with you.”
I enjoyed the match, but something kept bothering me.
Because one classmate, who planned to see the match today with us, wasn’t there.
“Vice president, where are You going?”
“Uisin-ah, where are you going?”
If I said that I was going to meet Hwang Jiho, the two might want to go with me.
I spoke vaguely.
“I have a place to drop by for a moment.”
* * *
Hwang Myeong-ho’s great mansion.
As before going to the great mansion, I messaged Baek Ho-gun, while shopping, my deeply considerate main Playable Character came out to meet me with Snare.
Woof woof!
The kind Snare greeted me joyfully, even though I stupidly couldn’t understand Snare’s deep heart the previous time and behaved sorrily.
While getting into the transportation shuttle and crossing the maze garden, I apologized to Snare a few times, and Snare generously accepted all my apologies.
After opening the entrance door together with Snare, Jeok-ho greeted us.
Regretfully, as if Eun-ho’s descendants weren’t here, I didn’t see them.
“Please come in, Jo Uisin.”
At that moment.
Ding.
The device message notification rang out.
It wasn’t just me, it seemed that Baek Ho-gun and Jeok-ho also received a message.
The one who sent the message was Hwang Jiho.
[Hwang Jiho] Come to the 5th floor.
